There are some really fun projects for felt and knit. In fact I am working on some classes based on what I found in it. The 3rd issue just came out. I have back issues ordered and on the way. Check it out.

Congratulations to Debbi Warstler of Canton! She recently received 4th place and a special note for presentation for her poetry by knitting daily.

Did you know that your local LYS (Local Yarn Store) can do special orders and provide you with service? Many times customers purchase yarn from a website because they didn't find exactly what they wanted or enough of what they wanted in their local store. Most stores do not put out all the yarn in a colorway, so please ask if you need more than you find on the shelf. I have a computer inventory of everything in the store. IF you give me a skein, I can tell you how many I have in stock. If you want a different color than I stock, I can get it for you as long as it is not out of stock with the manufacturer. If I carry a company, I can get other yarns in their line.
Many websites for manufacturers actually get their yarns from local yarn shops to fulfill an order so support your local LYS.

I found this pattern for a felted needle case on the Melanie Falick web site
see http://www.melaniefalickbooks.com/dec-2007-felt-needle-case-fro/
while checking out the knitted "meathead" hat pattern
you can get more links to various Falick's projects at http://www.melaniefalickbooks.com/
(I thought the house socks pattern was a good one too. Gauge yarn for yarn is 18st. Might be a good way to start if you have been afraid to do socks on fingering weight)

Congratulations to Anne Hanson (one of the teachers for the store) on getting published (Page 118) in the new spring 08 Interweave Knit! ! Her wing of the moth shawl is pictured in the latest Spin off as well.

Looking for a knit night at the stark library? check out their website here.
